General Summary:

Ensures delivery of excellent customer service through fast and accurate processing of customer appointments, communication, and coordinating with other departments. Acts as the liaison between customer service and customers for scheduling / rescheduling appointments, accessorial charges, order entry, etc. Builds and maintains business relationships with customer service and customers by providing prompt and accurate service to increase level of service and customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains long term, positive relationships with assigned customers and account managers.
  • Schedules customer orders and confirms order information with customer service.
  • Reschedules orders with customers due to shipment delays.
  • Takes action to respond to and/or resolve customer and customer service issues. 
  • Interacts courteously, timely, and professionally with internal departments to satisfy customer issues and/or process exceptions within guidelines (including, but not limited to: shipping, pricing, scheduling, credit, and accounting). 
  • Keeps internal departments and external customers informed of any follow-up through resolution. 
  • Identifies and escalates customer and customer service issues outside established guidelines to the appropriate superior or manager. 
  • Follows departmental guidelines for methods of order scheduling and accuracy. 
  • Utilizes all necessary internal applications, including, but not limited to: McLeod LME, PC Miler, Internet, e-mail, Word and Excel. 
  • Any other duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience

  • 2 year degree and 2 years dispatch experience
  • 4 year degree from an accredited university
